Celebrating Craftsmanship: Xpert at the 2026 GGP Installer Awards

Last week, the Xpert team headed to the GGP Installer Awards in Manchester for an afternoon celebrating the technical skill and dedication of the installers that bring our industry’s hard work to life. Having announced our sponsorship of the event back in October, it was fantastic to finally see the results of that effort and the sheer talent of the finalists take centre stage.

As the ‘official home of Xpert,’ Window Ware’s Managing Director, Sam Nuckey, took to the stage to present the award for our sponsored category: Best Residential Installation (over £30,000). It was a tough field of finalists, but huge congratulations go to Camel Glass & Joinery Ltd for their stunning Cornwall project, which took home the winner’s trophy! Lightfoot Windows Ltd was also recognised with Highly Commended for their impressive work on Marlow House. It was a proud moment for us to support an event that mirrors our own commitment to quality and precision on the job site.

A Showcase of Excellence

For the Xpert team, the awards are about more than just a trophy; they are a reminder of why we do what we do. Our Business Development Manager, Sarah Parker, who attended on behalf of Xpert, was struck by the sheer passion behind every entry.

“It was great to see the stunning projects and the level of pride behind them,” Sarah noted. “Talking to the organisers, you realise the sheer number of hours spent reading through all the entries. The level of detail provided by the entrants was incredible.”

Beyond the projects themselves, it was a prime opportunity to catch up with old friends and forge new connections within the trade.

The Sum of all Parts

Sam Nuckey reflected on how these awards represent the pinnacle of the fenestration supply chain. From the initial product design and component delivery to the final turn of a screw, it all culminates in the installations showcased last week.

“These projects are often what homeowners use to measure their entire view of our industry,” Sam explained. “Whether it’s the boost in kerb appeal, the clever use of space, or the regeneration of buildings across the UK, we should all be incredibly proud of the positive impact our industry has on people’s day-to-day lives.”
